Dear Friends,

I know we are all shaking our heads and asking, "Where has the time gone?". I am happy to say that our 20 year reunion is an opportunity to answer that question, starting with the "good ol' days" of high school and catching all of us up to the here and now.

I know we all have many different feelings about our time at Carlsbad High (I, ironically, was the one who paid extra to have "Highschool is Irrelevant" embossed on my yearbook!), and many different expectations about what a 20 year reunion is all about (it's NOT about those "10 pounds" you haven't lost). I believe that 20 years is a wonderful marker for celebrating an undeniable connection that we all have to each other and an opportunity to rekindle old friendships and make new ones as well.

In looking back, I believe that our class was a very special group of people. There was an unbelievable amount of spirit, unity, friendship, intelligence, and talent in the class of 1988. And it is not just me that thinks so: teachers, parents, and even people from adjoining classes felt this as well. It is this memory that encouraged me to help plan this celebration and it is this memory that kindles my excitement to see all of you again!

I warmly invite you to your 20 year high school reunion, which promises to be an interesting, light-hearted, casual, and memorable evening of camaraderie, music, and sustenance.
